Abstract (English):	This article wants to show how, through art, values are transmitted, either consciously, implicitly or unconsciously. In its different manifestations: painting, sculpture, literature, cinema, architecture, etc. art transmits the dominant values, typical of each era, through symbols. Important and significant ideas, such as the idea of Spain, have been transformed throughout history, in different stories, which have been reflected in art in different ways. In classical international law, the value of freedom and legal certainty were developed, understood as the freedom of States and of knowing what to expect, a proper value of Law. But in the Law of the contemporary international Community, new values have been developed, particularly those of peace, human dignity and solidarity that find their reflection in works of art. Abstract (Spanish):	En este artículo se quiere mostrar cómo, a través del arte, se transmiten valores, bien sea conscientemente, bien sea de manera implícita o inconsciente. En sus diferentes manifestaciones: pintura, escultura, literatura, cine, arquitectura etc. el arte trasmite los valores dominantes, propios de cada época, a través de símbolos. Ideas importantes y significativas como por ejemplo la ¡dea de España, se han ¡do transformando a lo largo de la historia, en diferentes relatos, que se han plasmado en el arte de diferentes maneras En el Derecho internacional clásico se desarrollaron el valor de la libertad y de la seguridad jurídica, entendidos como libertad de los Estados y del saber a qué atenerse, valor propio del Derecho. Pero en el Derecho de la Comunidad internacional contemporánea se han desarrollado nuevos valores, en particular los de la paz, la dignidad humana y la solidaridad que encuentran su reflejo en las obras de arte.
