| Abstract (English): | The article presents research results on eight latin-american digital experiences, understood as belonging to independent journalism. The objective was to understand the emergence of a new cultural form, resulting from the region's territorial processes. The research bases itself on the Culture Studies and considers central the concept of cultural form, from Raymond Williams (1979). It goes through the productive process of the eight sites through the methodological protocol of the culture circuit, from Richard Johnson (2010). The results point towards the emergence of a cultural form, whose matrices are in both alternative and traditional journalism, a result of historical processes that generate a practice and product with particular characteristics. | Abstract (Spanish): | El artículo presenta el resultado de una investigación sobre ocho experiencias digitales latinoamericanas, entendidas como parte del periodismo independiente. El objetivo fue comprender el surgimiento de una nueva forma cultural, resultante de procesos territoriales en la región. La investigación está afiliada a los Estudios Culturales y tiene como enfoque central el concepto de forma cultural, de Raymond Williams (1979). Abarca el proceso de producción de los ocho sitios a través del protocolo metodológico del circuito de la cultura, de Richard Johnson (2010). Los resultados apuntan al surgimiento de una forma cultural, cuyas raíces están en el periodismo alternativo y el periodismo tradicional, resultado de procesos históricos que generan una práctica y un producto con características particulares. | Abstract (Portuguese): | O artigo expõe resultados de investigação sobre oito experiências digitais latinoamericanas, compreendidas como integrantes do jornalismo independente. O objetivo foi compreender a emergência de uma nova forma cultural, decorrente de processos territoriais da região. A pesquisa se filia aos Estudos Culturais e tem como central o conceito de forma cultural, de Raymond Williams (1979). Faz um recorrido do processo produtivo dos oito sites por meio de protocolo metodológico do circuito da cultura, de Richard Johnson (2010). Os resultados apontam para a emergência de uma forma cultural, cujas matrizes estão no jornalismo alternativo e no jornalismo tradicional, resultado de processos históricos que geram uma prática e um produto com características particulares.
