Se menciona que los medios de comunicación han perdido su función de informar de manera objetiva y se han convertido en actores políticos al servicio de las élites de poder, lo que ha llevado a una falta de ética en la información que difunden. Además, se enfatiza la importancia de un periodismo ético y comprometido que dé voz a la ciudadanía y promueva la democratización de la comunicación.
