This essay examines the short stories "Mudanzas" by Antonio López Ortega and "Cenizas" by Alberto Barrera Tyszka in the light of the emergence of new ways of approaching and inhabiting reality by virtue of the migratory and translocal experience. Taking into account the cultural background from which the stories come and the humour they deploy, it investigates the position assumed by the migrant voices, their tactics in the symbolic and pragmatic construction of place, as well as the dynamics that govern their relationship with the spaces. The emergence of a plural consciousness and its creative capacity are crucial axes in this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Este ensayo examina los cuentos "Mudanzas" de Antonio López Ortega y "Cenizas" de Alberto Barrera Tyszka a la luz del surgimiento de nuevas formas de abordar y habitar la realidad en virtud de la experiencia migratoria y translocal. Teniendo en cuenta el bagaje cultural del que provienen las historias y el humor que despliegan, se investiga la posición que asumen las voces migrantes, sus tácticas en la construcción simbólica y pragmática del lugar, así como la dinámica que rige su relación con los espacios.
