It highlights the importance of the Historical Archive of the Regional Palenque El Congal, which documents the resistance and organization of Afro-descendant communities in their quest for rights and dignity. Despite legal advancements, the communities face state abandonment and a continuous violation of their rights, underscoring the need to make their history and struggles visible. El ensayo aborda la lucha del pueblo negro de Anchicayá por justicia ante la contaminación del río Anchicayá, causada por la Empresa de Energía del Pacífico (EPSA) en 2001. Se destaca la importancia del Archivo Histórico del Palenque Regional El Congal, que documenta la resistencia y organización de las comunidades afrodescendientes en su búsqueda de derechos y dignidad. A pesar de los avances legales, las comunidades enfrentan un abandono estatal y una continua vulneración de sus derechos, lo que resalta la necesidad de visibilizar su historia y luchas.
