| Abstract (English): | The Colombian Amazon is a setting of diverse cultures and societies that understand natural resources through different ontological perspectives. These varied uses and valuations generate tensions and Socio-Environmental Conflicts (SECs), social phenomena that occur among one or more actors. To better understand these dynamics, the SINCHI Institute has undertaken the development of an Atlas of Socio-Environmental Conflicts based on a community participation approach in the territory, using participatory workshops and social cartography. To date, 36 SECs have been characterized across 9 typologies, aiming to represent the voices of the region’s inhabitants for the broader understanding of society. Over the years of developing this Atlas, it has been possible to better comprehend the dynamics of different SECs in the Amazon, contributing to this complex and conflictive regional landscape by considering both commonalities and the particular conditions of each territorial context, looking forward to represent the social contributions of different actors and to help support pathways for positive transformation that mitigate the effects of these conflicts. | Abstract (Spanish): | La Amazonía colombiana es un escenario de diversas culturas y sociedades que contemplan los recursos naturales desde diferentes visiones ontológicas; estos diversos usos y valoraciones producen tensiones y conflictos socioambientales (CSA), hechos sociales que se dan entre uno o más actores. Para conocer de manera más completa estos hechos, el Instituto SINCHI se ha propuesto la construcción del Atlas de Conflictos Socioambientales bajo un enfoque de participación de comunidades en territorio con talleres de participación y cartografía social, logrando caracterizar hasta el momento 36 CSA en 9 tipologías en los que se busca retratar las voces de los habitantes de la región para el conocimiento de la sociedad en general. Durante los años de experiencia de este Atlas ha sido posible comprender las dinámicas de distintos CSA en la Amazonía para aportar en ese complejo y conflictivo panorama regional, considerando comunes y condiciones particulares de cada contexto territorial, buscando representar los aportes sociales de los distintos actores y tratar de sustentar rutas de transformación positiva para mitigar los efectos de estas conflictividades. | Abstract (Portuguese): | A Amazônia colombiana é um cenário de diversas culturas e sociedades que compreendem os recursos naturais a partir de diferentes visões ontológicas. Esses diversos usos e valorações geram tensões e conflitos socioambientais (CSA), fenômenos sociais que ocorrem entre um ou mais atores. Para compreender melhor essas dinâmicas, o Instituto SINCHI propôs a construção de um Atlas de Conflitos Socioambientais com base em uma abordagem de participação comunitária no território, por meio de oficinas participativas e cartografia social. Até o momento, foram caracterizados 36 CSA em 9 tipologias, buscando retratar as vozes dos habitantes da região para o conhecimento da sociedade em geral. Ao longo dos anos de desenvolvimento deste Atlas, tem sido possível compreender melhor as dinâmicas de diferentes CSA na Amazônia, contribuindo para esse complexo e conflituoso panorama regional, considerando tanto os elementos comuns quanto as condições particulares de cada contexto territorial, procurando representar as contribuições sociais dos diferentes atores e contribuir para a construção de caminhos de transformação positiva que mitiguem os efeitos dessas conflitualidades.
