Abstract: The article discusses an event celebrating the 35th anniversary of neuro-rehabilitation at the Saint John the Baptist Hospital in Rome, Italy. The celebration included a homily by Pope Benedict XVI, in which he spoke about suffering and God's love, and commended the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, who run the hospital. The grand master of the order, Brother Andrew Bertie, spoke about the institution and its humanitarian initiatives around the world.
