Abstract (English): The hypertext is the basic feature that singles out online journalism. To study its empirical form permits the establishment of the state of art of the question and propose aspects to reinforce in the production formulas of the digital press. For this purpose, an investigation has been carried out that determines the hypertext in quantity (number of links per unit of content) and the quality (link types based on their semantic implications). The study has been concentrated in Colombian digital journalism, specifically in the daily newspapers El País de Cali and El Colombiano de Medellín. The units of published content have been posted on the front page of the newspaper, the total number of links of the day in the total units of content, and the number of contextual links, related and recommended. It is concluded that there is a modest but relatively deep use of the hypertext. [TRANSLATION]
