The article discusses the aspects of a faculty mentoring program for newly hired faculty members in colleges and universities. The author shares her experience of developing a formalized mentoring program for the Christopher Newport University in Virginia, in which teachers underwent faculty-to-faculty mentoring. She states that the program provided a positive impact to the faculty, particularly on their professional development, teaching, confidence as well as their commitment to the goals of the university. |
